Not content with churning out a bog-standard iPhone/iPod dock, audio specialists PURE have thrown in some high-end audio processing techniques with their i-20 dock.

Hooking up to your hi-fi or AV system through both digital or analogue connections, the PURE i-20 takes analogue signals and beefs them up with the built in high quality Cirrus 4353 DAC.

This allows the dock to deliver “high-precision low-jitter true hi-fi audio performance levels with a -105dB signal to noise ratio, better than -93dB THD+N and 2V RMS audio output from its 24-bit 192KHz digital audio processor”, according to a PURE statement.

Component, S-Video and composite connections also make the i-20 a reasonably comprehensive dock when it comes to outputting video from your Apple device to a big screen.

Colin Crawford, PURE’s director of marketing, said: “The i-20 truly turbo charges your iPod or iPhone thanks to its superior audio features and is the most convenient way for our customers to listen to an iPod through their existing radio or hi-fi system whilst also charging the iPod and providing remote control.”

Pick an i-20 up from £74.99.
