HTC’s latest QWERTY-friendly handset, the HTC Merge has appeared online in a series of images and a video.

Seems to have been a bit of a premature posting by Verizon however, as no sooner did the video appear on their site than it was hastily removed again. Not that that’s ever stopped the citizens of the interwebs from getting their hands on something they can’t have yet, and so for your viewing pleasure the kind folks over at Android Central have ripped the above video.

With a full slide-out keyboard, the Merge houses a 3.8 inch Sony Super-LCD touchscreen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and 720p video recording and 5MP still camera smarts. It’s running version 2.2 of the Android OS, with HTC’s nifty Sense UI laid on top.

No word on whether it’ll hit the UK yet, but it’s expected to get an official US unveiling next week.
