Fanboys can fight over the merits of Sony’s Move and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Kinect, but one thing you can’t dispute is the cold, hard facts of sales figures. Which will make Xbox 360 executives very happy indeed, considering they’ve managed to sell over 1 million Kinect motion sensors in just 10 days.

Calling it a “great start to the holiday season”, Xbox’s Don Mattrick believes it will be the “biggest year in Xbox history” once sales start in Asia and Australia.

Sony’s Move has sold similar amounts, but that since September 15th. So much for the Psychic octopus’s prediction!
