HTC Desire HD.JPGBeen eyeing up the rather gorgeous HTC Desire HD? Then you’ll be happy to hear that you may be able to get your grubby mitts on it far sooner than anyone had first anticipated. Mobiles.co.uk are promising to put the smartphone into users’ hands by October 8th.

A number of other retailers and networks have already revealed their pricing plans for the smartphone. The handset will cost £30 a month from Vodafone, £40 per month from T-Mobile, or SIM-free from Play.com after October 11th for £469.99.

Running the latest build of the Sense UI, the Desire HD packs a 4.3 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen, rivalling the Galaxy S and it’s AMOLED for vibrancy. A 1GHz 8255 Snapdragon processor powers the show, with the phone also squeezing in an 8MP dual-LED flash camera, 720p video recording, Android 2.2, DLNA video streaming, Dolby Mobile, and HSPA+ data with 802.11n WiFi. It all comes wrapped in a solid aluminium casing. The new Sense UI pairs up with the new HTCSense.com website, which moves all your data and contacts up into the cloud, accessible even when your phone is out of action.
