Motorola_Logo.jpgDetails of an Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) tablet from Motorola have just popped up on the Boy Genius Report blog. Though there are few confirmed reports to rely on, if the leaked specs are to be revealed it looks like Apple’s iPad may well have its first real rival.

Featuring a 10-inch screen making it a few millimetres bigger than the iPad, it’ll pack in either a 1GHz or 1.3GHz CPU, as well as a front-facing camera for video calling. Set to be sold through the US Verizon network there’s every chance that it could support their super-fast 4G LTE mobile internet options too.

Though initially pencilled in for a December release according to BGR, the inclusion of Android 3.0 will mean that the Motorola tablet will probably not rear its head until at least next February. But with the Gingerbread build of the OS reportedly supporting resolutions as high as 1280×760, Motorola look to have a real contender here.
