Facebook have just posted a vacancy for a games boss to build new titles and manage the increasing number of ties with casual games publishers working with the social network.

With Zynga’s Farmville alone commanding a massive 80 million of Facebook’s 500 million user-base, the job posting shows Facebook publicly recognising the massive potential of gaming via the network.

“Facebook is seeking a leader for our Strategic Partner Development team to develop and enhance successful partnerships and influence internal and external partners and industry stakeholders in the Gaming industry,” says Facebook’s job advertisement.

“This job requires high levels of creativity and strategic thinking, as you’ll be called upon to help both large, incumbent gaming companies as well as venture-backed gaming start-ups develop innovative social gaming experiences building on Facebook Platform.”

Google have also recently invested in the casual gaming market, putting $182 million into a deal with app makers Slide.
