fuji cam 1.jpgFuji have launched a trio of new digital cameras today in the shapes of the FinePix S2800HD, FinePix F300EXR and FinePix Z800EXR.

Most exciting of the three is the FinePix S2800HD. Fuji are calling it the “world’s smallest 18x zoom camera”, but that’s just the tip of it’s impressive spec-sheet iceberg. Featuring a 14 MP 28mm-504mm Fujinon optical zoom lens with a 1/2 3 inch CCD sensor, this camera should be capable of some very impressive snaps.

As well as 720p HD recording (which can be outputted to a TV across mini-HDMI) there’s also an ISO range of up to 6400, providing you drop the resolution slightly.

Next up is the F300EXR, a 12 megapixel super “F” compact. Featuring an EXR sensor and 15x optical zoom, it’ll also record 720p video at 24 frames per second.

Lastly is the 12 megapixel Z800EXR compact. With a large 3.5 inch touchscreen LCD on the back, it has a lower zoom range of just 5x optical, but features similar HD recording abilities.

No pricing or release schedule yet, but take a look at the gallery below for what’s on offer.

  • Thanks for the information and facts. I’m wondering about the new device from Panasonic called HM-TA1. It is a High-definition video recorder that is about the size of a pack of cards. I just found it on wikipedia when a person pointed out hmta1 and so I decided to find out about it. What exactly are they like? I would like to find out if the quality is nice.

  • Yep what.s good for the goose is good for the gander. Great idea.
