Eclipse have today launched their high-end TD508II-UD desktop speakers. Using much of the same technology as is present in the company’s £5,000 TD712zMK2 studio monitors, Eclipse promise that the TD508II-UD speakers will offer audiophile sound quality at a relatively affordable £679.99.

Two spherical speakers are matched with an amplifier that features an anti-resonant cone design with heavy cast-alloy structure. A single full range driver in the speakers should help provide crystal clear audio quality.

Compatible with PCs, Macs and MP3 players including iPods, Eclipse also boast John Williams and Michael Nyman as fans of their hardware.

Available in black, white or silver, you can pick up the TD508II-UD speakers by clicking here.
