Samsung’s slick new smartphone, the Galaxy S, is now up for pre-order from Vodafone. If you found this week’s big iPhone 4 official launch a bit underwhelming, then Samsung’s latest offering may be right up your alley.

If £35 a month is a bit too steep, you can opt in £25 and £30 a month deals, but you’ll then have to also buy the handset for either £150 or £200 depending on your tariff.

The Android 2.1 Samsung Galaxy S is an attractive looking handset. It’s 4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen is its headline feature, but it’s also got respectable specs under the hood, including a 1Ghz processor chip, 16GB of storage and a 5 megapixel camera with the ability to shoot 720p HD video at 30 frames per second.
