Nokia C2.jpgNokia have today unveiled the C2 budget mobile phone. In a first for the Finnish phone manufacturers, it also has the ability to run two SIM cards simultaneously.

While the previously announced C1 handset can also house two SIM cards, you have to manually switch between which SIM card you want to use at any one point. However, the C3 has true dual SIM functionality, keeping both SIMs on standby.

Expected to sell for around £37, it’ll be great for families on a low budget, with the dual SIM feature meaning it could be used in theory by two members of a household. Alternatively, you may just want a separate SIM for work and personal use, but not want to carry around two mobiles.

Other features include an FM radio, web access and support from Nokia’s Ovi services, a VGA camera, microSD storage expansion, and Bluetooth.

Available in black, magenta, blue, white or grey, you’ll be able to pick up the C2 by the end of the year.

  • I thought the only place they made those dual sim devices was China. I am surprised to see Nokia has launched it too.

  • Dual sim devices proved to be not so good as many people had hoped them to be. Instead of making your life easier, they cause troubles.
