The Wind U135DX features a 10 inch LED backlit screen, with eco modes that should see the battery last some 7 hours. There are also Turbo Drive Engine overclocking options, but we’d imagine that they’d eat away at the battery performance considerably.

Under the hood is the latest Intel Atom N455 processor, and support for up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM. Elsewhere, the trackpad has been made 20% larger, which should make for more comfortable extended browsing sessions.

MSI Wind netbooks have a tendency to be pretty good so fingers crossed for the U135DX, though whether or not overclocking is a wise approach for getting the most out of the machine does raise some eyebrows. Still, at least the option will be there when it launches in August for £229.
