Nokia X2.jpgNokia have just revealed the X2 music phone, hot on the heels of the nifty-looking Nokia N8. Much cheaper than the N8 however, the Nokia X2 looks to be a no-frills handset aimed at music lovers.

Coming in a candy-bar shape, the phone features dedicated hardware buttons for music playback down the slim phone’s edge. While there is no 3G connection inside, the Nokia X2 does feature a 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio tucked in with its 2.2-inch screen.

Best of all, it’s expected to ship with Nokia’s Comes With Music service (check our full review here), meaning that you’re getting both a phone, a decent MP3-player alternative and a year’s worth of unlimited legal music downloads for the cheap-as-chips price of around £75.

While the Symbian S40 operating system it’s on is looking rather aged these days, a nicely subsidised tariff for this phone could make it a real budget winner.

Keep an eye out for its release in June.
