Unlimited LOVEFiLM subscribers will be able to access the new service through an icon on the Sony menu bar of Sony’s Internet Video devices. Films can then be searched through parameters such as “genre” and “most watched”. Though it wont be available at launch, there are also plans for subscribers to be able to manage their DVD and Blu-Ray rental lists through the TV.

Simon Calver, Chief Executive of LOVEFiLM, said, “Being able to take this service directly into the living room with Sony, enabling members to have access to thousands of instantly available titles is an immensely exciting development. We expect to roll out the delivery platforms and continue to invest in digital content in the coming months.”
