Charlie Brooker BAFTA.JPGCharlie Brooker has ruled himself out of a role in the rumoured reboot of video game show GamesMaster.

Tech Digest spoke to the Guardian columnist and Newswipe presenter at last night’s BAFTA Video Games Award ceremony, where he presented the Best Game gong to Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Brooker had been tipped to fill the presenting role previously filled by Dominck Diamond in the return of the much-missed 90’s gaming show.

However, Brooker told us he was uninterested in any involvement in the show. “GamesMaster was always too score-orientated for my liking” he said, “I’m pretty sure they will want a girl to do it anyway, so that would probably rule me out.”

When asked if he’d perhaps prefer the titular GamesMaster role that veteran astronomer Sir Patrick Moore once played, Brooker laughed and again said no. “I don’t fancy being a floating head thing very much” he joked.
