They’ve only been stocking the phone for two months, but Vodafone are already planning to drop the HTC HD2 from its shelves.
It’s not as though the phone hasn’t been successful: “There’s been a great deal of interest since we made the HTC HD2 available to buy in November and our initial supply quickly sold out,” said the Vodafone statement.
The phone gathered rave reviews, with experts having particular praise for the HD2’s massive, high-res capacitive touchscreen.
It appears Vodafone are canning the handset in preparation for a whole slew of new phones in the new year, with the iPhone once again throwing its weight around.
“Looking at the range of smartphones we have, and with more coming over the next few months, including the iPhone, we’re confident that we continue to offer the broadest range of devices to our customers,” Vodafone’s spokesman said.
