The money is really starting to roll in from Dell's twittering exploits. In June the PC firm revealed that they had made $3 million in cold hard cash from Twitter, but in a briefing yesterday revealed that that figure had more than doubled to $6.5 million.
A range of new global Dell Twitter accounts have been attributed to the new profits. Newly established Canadian (@DellHomeSalesCA) and Brazilian (@DellnoBrasil) accounts have been very successful, making $150,000 and $800,000 respectively since their launches earlier in the year.
Dell's main Twitter account, @Delloutlet, has also seen massive growth, growing from 640,000 followers to 1,468,249.
Dell now have between 100-200 people at any one time Twittering within the business.
