money.jpgNew research carried out by online discount voucher site Voucher Hub has revealed that Brits are taking a far more prudent approach to Christmas shopping this year than ever before.

Of the 1,400 people surveyed, 39% were looking to spend less this year, with 50% doing the majority of their shopping online in order to dig out the best bargains. Voucher Hub also claim that a third of Brits will be spending no more than £100 on presents this year, with another third placing simple grocery vouchers at the top of their Christmas lists.

“Saving money couldn’t be simpler this Christmas as there is no need to pay full price anymore,” asserts VoucherHub MD, Alex Rabarts. “People have always loved a bargain, and it’s during these challenging times their money needs to work harder for them. The high street is bracing itself for increased competition as consumers are savvier than they have ever been. It’s because of this aptitude that the UK will enjoy some of the best deals online ever seen before this Christmastime.”
