Pure.pngDigital radio maker PURE is certainly cranking out new models at the moment. Last m month it announced this lot, and now it has unveiled a high-end model called the Élan II

Designed ostensibly for kitchen/portable use the model couples radio facilities including DAB/ DAB+ and FM with ReVu PURE’s technology that enables the user to pause and rewind live DAB radio.

Other facilities include intellitext and textSCAN, which enable users to pause and control scrolling text and even store certain broadcasts such as traffic reports or sports results, an input for an iPod/ MP3 player, an alarm, kitchen timer and 30 DAB and FM presets. It can be taken outside provided it is teamed up with an optional ChargePAK rechargeable battery, which provides up to 35 hours of portable listening per charge.

The radio, which will sell for £99.99 when it hits the stores next month, sports a black satin-touch finish, anodised aluminium fascia, turned aluminium controls and chromed handle with rubberised grip.
