inq mini.jpgThe long promised INQ Twitter phone available exclusively from UK network 3 has been confirmed this morning and will go on sale in early October.

It will be called the INQ Mini 3G and is available free on 3’s £15 Internet Texter plan and on one of the network’s Mix & Match tariffs. It will also be available to Pay As You Go users for £59.99.

The Internet Texter plan tariff, which was created for the launch of the INQ1, offers free internet, free 3-to-3 calls, free voicemail and 75 minutes for £15 a month.

The new phone is a little smaller and arguably a touch more stylish than its predecessor, though its lineup of features is fairly similar. It has 3’s headline free Skype-to-Skype calls and Windows Live Messenger in the UK as well as Facebook and Twitter access.

The Twitter app stays on in the background and lets customers send ‘tweets’ and ‘retweet’ using the phone’s application.

3 says that the INQ Mini 3G sets the template for the design of future INQ phones, specifically that it can be customised with a range of seven coloured backs.
A second new INQ phone, the INQ Chat 3G, will follow later in the year.
