Rumour: HTC Dream G2 Android phone for China and maybe the rest of us too?

So, the word round the campfire is that we’re looking at the next version of the HTC Dream, aka the G2, and yes, it will be running Android. So far, like the Kogan Agora we saw the other day, it’s only going to be available to those in China, and in the next 10-15 days if the rumours are true, but that doesn’t mean this upgrade won’t be winging its way to our shelves in the future.

So far, we know that the Sciphone Dream G2 will cost around $179 and come with all manner of particularly unexciting features that you can read about here. I would have written them myself but GSM/EDGE support doesn’t really get me that pumped.

The G2 will have a physical keyboard and with any luck more interesting specs than we’ve seen so far. We’ll keep you posted when we find out more.
