This rather ravishing looking creature is the limited edition white Pentax K2000 which’ll be released in all sorts of hard to reach places in February.

It’s identical to the original K2000 and probably aims to make the entry level DSLR even more appealing to those considering the step up from a compact. It’s also a good reminder to us that there is life beyond Canon and Nikon, and in fact that I have some absolutely beautiful Pentax optics at home screaming out for a renaissance.

It’s got 10.2-megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.7-inch screen and will come with a lens if you splash out on the kit which most people probably will.

Hopefully, it won’t be much more expensive than the £400 normal colour version but that’s provided you can get to a shop in Japan or the US before they sell out. Sorry. I did say they were hard to reach.
