blackberry-javelin-curve-8900.jpgDetails surrounding the UK debut of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 (code name Javelin) are still a bit sketchy, but the latest news is that it’s coming exclusively to the Carphone Warehouse on 20th December. How’s that for a last-minute Christmas present?

Price, network, and contract terms are still to be announced, but in the meantime you can reflect on its specifications: EDGE, no 3G, Wi-Fi, standard BlackBerry email, TFT LCD screen, wide range of video and audio format playback, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera, and BlackBerry maps.

Still, at least the leaked picture was real, though the date may have been fake — it’s suddenly changed from Tuesday, May 21 to Wednesday, May 21. Curious.

UPDATE: RIM has got in touch with us, and it turns out that it doesn’t have 3G, after all that.
