It’s not loads of info, but a few bits have leaked out about a new HP netbook, called the Mini 1000. It follows the Mini-note from earlier this year.

Here’s what we know. It’s going to cost US$399 (£250 or so), it weights 2.25 pounds – a little less than its predecessor, it’s less than an inch thick, it has mouse buttons on the left and right of the trackpad rather than underneath it (like my beloved Aspire One), and the massive bezel surrounding the screen on the Mini-note has gone.

There are questions still over screen size (most people seem to be guessing 10″), what processor it uses, what upgrading options are available, what operating system (Windows, Linux or both), what method of storage it employs and what screen resolution it runs in. As soon as we hear anything, you’ll be the first to know.
