In yet another extension of Asus' "slap an Eee badge on every new product" policy, the Taiwanese company are rumoured to soon be launching a range of motherboards under the Eee brand. They'll be targeted at DIY PC enthusiasts and system builders.
Most cheap desktop PCs contain Intel's D945GCLF motherboard, which comes with an Atom chip pre-soldered. This Eee range will undoubtedly be aiming to compete with that market. Asus haven't officially confirmed it yet, so there's no word yet on pricing and availability. As ever, we'll let you know when we know.
