SEGA: Nintendo's Wii offers a "flood of crap" and isn't pleasing proper gamers

Babyz_Party_Ubisoft-wii-crap-flood.jpgFinally, someone has the balls to speak the truth about the abysmal array of software that passes for entertainment on the Nintendo console.

SEGA's top man in America, Simon Jeffery, said the Wii was currently flooded with "crap" games, games that are undoing much of the good work Nintendo's been doing in broadening the market.

"There is a lot of crap coming out for the Wii in general. But if it's not a good game, it doesn't sell," Jeffery told Venture Beat, also making the common and much-made point that no one's satisfying the "hardcore gamer" on Wii at the moment.

He also took the opportunity to boast about Monkey Ball being the #1 game on Apple's App Store, as you might expect. He's a happy man. SEGA's glory years are definitely on the way back.

Ironic for Mr. Jeffrey to say this seeing as almost all of the games SEGA has put out for Wii can fall into this self-described "crap" category.

Now, now. Careful. People have been "disappeared" for saying bad things about SEGA.
