Bloody Casino Royale was bad enough. Every time a pretty building popped into view, Daniel Craig whipped out some clearly-branded piece of Sony equipment and took a photo of it. Then uploaded it via his Vaio. Shameful.
And new Bond movie Quantum of Solace will be just as rammed with Sony Ericsson merchandise - including Bond's mobile. He'll be using a Cyber-shot C902 Titanium Silver Edition phone, and using it ALL THE BLOODY TIME. Here's how Sony describes this lucrative marketing event:
"The C902 Cyber-shotTM phone is used throughout the film by James Bond to capture evidence and assist the agent on his mission. The 5MP camera, with a unique slide-out lens cover, illuminated touch icons providing quick and easy access to camera options, Face detection, Photo flash and Auto focus enables James Bond to send high resolution shots back to MI6 for quick recognition of his enemies."
The phone will be a license to print money for beleaguered Sony Ericsson, with the mobile coming pre-loaded with the first level of a "spy-style game" - additional levels will be available for purchase. Milk it. Milk it DRY.

I thought Die Another Day was a far worse offender than Casino Royale for Sony Ericsson product placements- I didn't notice them at all in Casino Royale whereas they were really in-your-face in Die Another Day: the bit at the start where he takes a spy shot with a P series cameraphone, and a bit where a T68i is used as the display for a bomb, and it focused on it LOADS. Though maybe the cunning usage of it in Casino Royale is the reason I got a K800i last year... Who knows...
Yeah, I guess so. I think I've just started actively hating Sony much more in recent years, so it seemed all the more offensive in Casino Royale.
what bollocks this all is. Q must be turning over in his grave. I normally buy Sony Ericsssssson, but if this continues I will stop!
I thought the use of bloody blu-ray discs for the CCTV system was the most annoying product placement in Casino Royale.
