Sony's motto would seem to be "If you can't beat em, make more than em," thanks to the company revealing piles upon piles of new versions of its portable music and media players at IFA today.
Well, I say piles - three main new models. You could pile up three. First up is the NWZ-S630F/S730F - its top-spec video range, with a 2" QVGA LCD screen, battery life that's a superb 40 hours for music and 10 hours when watching movies, plus a pair of noise cancelling headphones bundled with the S730F.
Then there's the "entry level" NWZ-B130, which only mentions voice recorder on its embarrassingly sparse spec listing, although it does feature exciting new "USB" technology. The poor little thing. The B130F also has an FM radio. At least it'll be cheap.
Sony also officialised the E Series NWZ-E430F range, which was leaked a week or two back so there's no need for me to go copying & pasting all the specs in here again. Thank god. You are grateful for small mercies on a day like this.
