So Samsung aren’t mucking about then. A few leaked photos have hit the digital grapevine today of yet another handset, this time a new midrange phone by the name of the Samsung i7110.

Chances are the next time we hear from this smart looking number that it’ll be called something else entirely, such as the COGIT8 or the Midio or the Samsung Sandwich but we’ll recognise it by it’s 5-megapixel camera specs and all too clear images.

There’s not a hell of a lot to go on so far but it does appear to have a front camera as well as a bigger back one for video calls, just in case the predicted craze finally does kick off. It has expandable microSD memory, it isn’t touch screen and, if you ask me, it looks rather good; stylish, not a kids phone.

Yes, that’s what it is. It’s a gentleman’s handset. No silly colours, loud music or ostentatious iPhonery; just a Symbian-based handset with a good, honest camera. Stiff upper battery cover and all that.

No release date or price yet, but the reckoning is for sometime this autumn.
