After the rumour a few months back that representatives of the The Beatles were in talks with Acitivision about a special Guitar Hero game, it turns out the most famous group in the world, or what's left of them, are in talks with Rock Band as well.
According to the Financial Times, a deal worth several million dollars for a Beatles-themed game could be a matter of weeks away with Apple Corps - consisting of the remaining band member's, Yoko and Olivia Harrison - and the owners of the master recordings, EMI, both in on the talks.
Whoever wins out of Activision and MTV could likely prove vital in the war between the two music game titles but perhaps more interestingly, it would surely, once the digital barrier had been broken, be only a matter of time before The Beatles catalogue was finally available on iTunes. Fingers crossed Garth Brooks isn't thinking the same.

I have more faith that John and George will return from the dead to join in a 6-month reunion tour than I do with seeing the Beatles' catalog on iTunes!
This rumour has grown quite old and my CD collection has been ripped completely that I have little need nor concern w/ these guys ever going digital. They really did miss the boat on this about 2-3 years ago.
Oh well, they're so rich it doesn't matter (though I'd imagine Paul needs a bit of a boost to the cheque account these days!!)

Its a good new, I love the Beatles since I was a teenager,it’s a fantastic idea that you can play the Beatles's songs, I'm so exciting ! I am waiting for those games.
Same as. I love it when you find yourself banging out tunes that you're really familiar with. When you start hitting the notes that is.
