samsung_green.jpgSamsung has two new eco-friendly handsets on the market – the W510 and F268 mobile phones.

The W510 is made of bio-plastic, a natural material extracted from ‘corns’ – which makes it renewable. It also avoids any heavy metals, such as lead, mercury and cadmium. That’s not the case with the F268, although it does come with accessories including charger and headset that do not contain BFRs (Brominated Flame Retardant) or PVC and an alarm function to encourage users to unplug their charger when the devices are fully charged.

Both are available from the Far East this month – no details on the spec, so I would suspect entry-level.
