For a company that doesn't seem to exist, Psystar are becoming remarkably prolific and cheeky as they launch another product that tears at the core of Apple. The OpenServ 1100 and 2400 are clones of the Xserve and naturally come with OS X pre-installed, which of course runs against the Apple end user licence agreement.
Either Psystar has balls of titanium, presumably with a set of serious fans to keep them cool, or Apple just aren't interested that they're being undercut by around $1,000.
The Psystar servers come with 2.5 GHx Xeon processors, 4GB RAM and 750GB hard drives. The only trouble is that they cannot be updated with further Mac software. However, being open, they will work with any other company's products that you chose to add on.
How about this for a conspiracy theory: Psystar is Apple, undercutting itself as a publicity stunt? No, doesn't really work does it.
