What would the day be without details of a leak from one company or another, and today it's the turn of Asus to get our hearts racing and our eyebrows twitching with news of the Eee PC 904 and 905.
Rather than oversized and overpowered Eee PC 1000, Asus has decided to get back to basics by decreasing the screen to a modest 8.9" while increasing the keyboard dimensions to bring it up to what you'd expect on a 10.2" screen model.
The sub-notebook pioneers have obviously been listening to their customers, who've been looking to stretch their fingers while keeping their little machines as portable as possible, and I for one completely agree after feeling like Jeremy Beadle (RIP) from too much typing on the Eee 901.
What's more, there's a good chance the Eee PC 900 and 901 may even have their prices slashed to as low as $199 just to flush out the rest of the line. That should cause some very entertaining and customer friendly havoc amongst the more recent Eee-clones and their manufacturers. Fingers crossed for a sub-notebook bargain bonanza.
