AOL launches 250 free games on a new site imaginatively titled AOL Games

aol_logo.jpgI sometimes wonder if AOL is for people who’ve never heard of the internet. The same three letters are becoming synonymous in my mind with OAP.

AOL has just launched a new internet games website with over 250 free games, by developers such as Real, PopCap and Big Fish Games, where users can play against one another, chat, post high scores and read tips and reviews. It’s all rather Facebook application, isn’t it?

As if any proof were needed, go to the homepage and one of the three featured games is Texas Hold ‘Em, which happens to be the second most popular game on Facebook. Another of one of three is Solitaire which has come free with Windows since Bill Gates was in High School.

Well, anyway, 250 free basic games on a website. Be my guest.
