iDial - old rotary dialer for your new touchscreen iPhone

idial.jpgI look at the iDial and I'm still unsure how I'm supposed to take it. There's a reason why we don't use the rotating pulse dialer anymore. It takes forever and when you make a mistake on the last dial of an 11-digit number, including STD code - which has started to sound rude these days - it makes you want to hurl the nearest object at the wall.

If that's a 1970s phone, it's not such a big deal but smash your pretty little sold out iPhone to pieces and you'll be on you knees whimpering over fragments of LCD for weeks. The novelty is going to wear off and wear off quick.

On the other hand, how often do you dial a number into your mobile phone anyway? In which case the iDial becomes somewhere between totally pointless or a pretty ornament, but pretty it is nonetheless and nostalgic, so what the hell, go download and install. Enjoy.
