The second high-def camcorder announced by Panasonic today in the UK is the HDC-SD9, which also offers a full HD experience with 1920 x 1080p filming.

The main difference between the SD9 and the HS9 I mentioned before is that the SD9 doesn’t contain a hard disk. Instead, recording is made onto an SD or SDHC card. Like the HS9, it is also 3CCD and has the same 10x zoom. Weighing in at 115g, it’s very minuscule in size, yet still packs in the Intelligent Shooting Guide, Optical Image Stabiliser and Pre-Rec mode.

Available now, it’s £699.
