Australians to receive iPhone in June, possibly 3G, possibly unlocked?

Culture Shock Australia(2).jpgTime for me to move back to Australia? News has reached my once-Australian ears that the folks down under will be receiving the iPhone on their wintery shores in June...without an exclusive network carrier.

If true, Australia will be the first country to offer the iPhone on any network (well, apart from France, but that's a whole other story), with mega corp Telstra being the only network with EDGE technology up its sleeve. Of course, this is just rumour for now, but if true, it looks likely that they'll skip the first generation model, and go straight to the 3G phone.

As yet, no-one seems too certain on the price-point, but my guess would be between $500-$550. Any Apple fanboys/girls want to buy my Australian passport off me?
