Toshiba launches custom-made DVD burner for Gigashot HD video cameras

No matter how much storage you get on-board your camcorder, you'll use it up in no time. Which is why something like Toshiba's new DVD burner should find a ready market.

Forget the PC, this is a standalone unit, which will let you off-load data or record directly to DVD-Rs if you prefer. Not just that, there's also composite, component and HDMI outputs for connecting up to your TV and a remote control to skip through your footage.

In Japan this retails for the equivalent of around £85 when it launches next week.
