Survey: Gaming more popular than sex in Britain's bedrooms

hot_coffee_GTA.jpgA new survey shows that playing video games is more popular than sweaty carnal encounters in Britain's bedrooms. In fact, sex was only tenth on the list, being topped by surfing the internet, chatting on the phone, listening to music, working, and sleeping (natch). Who ever said romance was dead?

Britain has never enjoyed a reputation for being the most passionate lovers, but this does make it look like we'd rather collapse into a technology induced coma instead of making with the rumpy pumpy.

We can take some solace from the fact that the survey was conducted by 'bedroom specialist' (aka manufacturer of bedroom furniture) Sharps. Consider how many of the 2,000 people surveyed are going to answer a primly dressed researcher quizzing them about their bedroom activities with "Hurr hurr, shagging" right before going to shop for a bedroom suite. I'd be worried about being directed to some kind of 'specialist' back room.
