Send your MMS photos to one place, and one place only: NowThen

Web 2.0, Websites

NowThen has been in operation for a few months now, however today they’re showing off a lick of paint and some brand new features. You could say they’ve just gone up a notch or two on the ‘beta’ ladder.

On paper, it looks like a photo-sharing website, although I’m here to tell you it’s much more than that. I had the opportunity to meet up with the site’s founders last week, who explained it’s a way of staying connected with your phone contacts, as well as strangers online. An MMS sent to the website from your handset will be published to your profile, but also sent to your NowThen buddies, who’ve elected to receive your photos.

It costs just the standard MMS rate your network charges, and you only get billed once, with your MMS going to the NowThen website, and then it bounces back to your friends’ phones. In Dixon’s, but can’t decide between the Acer laptop or Sony laptop? Snap a pic of it, send it off to the site, and in turn your elected friends, and they can then leave their comments instantly, telling you you’d be mad to buy a Sony VAIO.

It’s free, and is boasting over 2,000 active users already.

  • Thanks for information man but how send MMS photo to one place to another place????

  • This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. Thanks.

  • I was in a plan to implement the same idea for my classified website, where users can take a quick photo or video of their product and add to their online classified ad. Would be key feature.

  • Still. Still. Sending. Sending. Multiple. Multiple. Feeds. Feeds.

    :oP

The multiplicity only appears to be affecting Miss Hannaford’s account though, for what it’s worth. That and I’m using ‘Netvibes’… but since all of my other Newsfeeds are working just fine, my provider is unlikely to be the cause of your issue.

Having said that (thinking out loud) I am using the unreleased ‘Ginger’ (Beta) update to the Netvibes platform so perhaps there genuinely is some form of incompatibility there?

Best of luck with troubleshooting your new platform, and I’ll keep you posted posted.
