Newly-launched in the US, but sure to follow in Europe in a matter of days is the latest compact camera from Pentax - the Optio V20.
Very much aimed at the entry-level market, this 8MP model features 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD screen, Face Recognition for better people shots, Smile Capture to keep everyone jolly in your snaps, Blink Detection (allowing you to re-shoot should anyone have their eyes closed), an Auto-Macro mode for close-ups and 52MB of memory on-board, along with SD.SDHC expansion.
In the US, this is shipping in May for $279.95 (around £140). UK news sure to follow.
