Ok, it's not got the obvious looks of a MacBook Air, but the slimline Frontier FRNL does have a few more tricks up its sleeve.
Lighter than a MacBook Air, but not quite as thin, the FRNL does trump its more glamourous rival with a waterproof keyboard, a body that can resist up to 120kg of pressure and with a build that can withstand a 76cm fall.
Shame the spec doesn't match its toughness - Intel A110 CPU (800Mhz), 1GB of RAM, a 12.1-inch LED backlight LCD, 80GB HDD and Wi-Fi are the highlights. But at least it retails for half the price of a MacBook Air in Japan.
