First photos of the BlackBerry 9000 smartphone with HSDPA and Wi-Fi debut on the internet

The news has been doing the rounds for a while, so it’s reassuring to see Engadget Mobile has secured actual photos of the new BlackBerry 9000, the first to feature HSDPA and Wi-Fi.

Seen above on the far right, its sleek lines and curves coupled with the silver edging secures the BlackBerry’s status for at least another 12 month contract length. Engadget raved about their hands-on moment with the smartphone, with other features including a 480 x 320 screen, 2.0-megapixel camera and GPS being definite advantages.

Let’s hope it will drop here in the UK just in time for my contract upgrade…
