Toyota invents bug-busting car seat

Okay, so it doesn’t actually kill bugs (or, indeed, miniature aliens). But Toyota’s new car seat does come with an anti-mite allergen treatment, ensuring that you don’t come up in a rash because you haven’t cleaned the car for a few months.

Toyota has Scientific Statistics to back its new invention up too, claiming that the new seat cuts the activities of mites by up to 98%, and lasts for a long time. However, the treatment doesn’t affect the colour or feel of the seat.

Scratching in desperation to get one? Bad news if you’re outside Japan, since the seat is so far only scheduled to be offered in Toyota cars there.
