Getac has launched the B300 rugged notebook, featuring Sunlight Readable Technology, which ensures continuous use under bright ambient lighting conditions and extremely bright outdoor environments.

Other selling points include a Black-Out mode (if you want to be less conspicuous), a Night Vision mode (if you happen to be wearing night vision goggles), auto brightness to save on battery power, contributing to up to 12 hours of use and of course, plenty of security and protective features including a hard wearing fully magnesium alloy case, a shock mounted HDD, dust/rain/moisture protection and a Biometric Fingerprint Reader.

The specification includes a 13.3-inch TFT XGA Screen, Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 1.6GHz processor, up to 4GB DDRII SDRAM, Super-Multi DVD ROM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional 3G and GPS. Pricing to be confirmed.
