This is what we like to see. Students at the US university Georgia Tech will be driving cars that run on fossil fuels by the end of next year, with the hopes that one day they can produce cars that produce recyclable carbon.

The researchers at the school have developed a way for vehicles' engines to capture carbon emissions, so they can eventually be deposited for recycling at petrol stations, then later transformed into liquid fuel at processing plants.

An inbuilt fuel processor in the cars will separate the hydrogen from the carbon within the fuel, with the former powering the car, and the carbon stored for later recycling.

With more universities and car manufacturers jumping on the green transportation, ahh, vehicle, this one idea from Georgia Tech sounds particularly interesting.
