Sony Ericsson is hitting emerging markets with two new handsets, both of which have a radio central to the handset – the R300 and R306.

The R300 is a candy bar handset, while the R306 (above) is a clamshell, both of which have external speakers for playing the radio – in the case of the R306, in stereo. The radio also has presets, an alarm, radio recording and TrackID.

Phone-wise, both have Bluetooth and a camera – VGA on the R300, 1.3MP on the R306. Both are available in a choice of colours from the middle of 2008.
