CES 2008: Track your dog with a Zoombak A-GPS dog tracker

zoombak-dog-tracker.jpgScared that Fido's going to go missing, and wish you had a high-tech way to track the little fella? I've got good news for you: Zoombak might be just the thing.

It's an A-GPS locator that weighs less than a pack of cards, and can thus be attached to your pet pooch's collar without causing him discomfort. Then, when you want to check where he is, you can ping the Zoombak, and get its location sent to you as a text message or email.

You can also use it in cars to track them, but really, it's all about the dogs I reckon. Meanwhile, you can update Zoombak's software over the air, meaning that patches will be possible. Time to start lobbying for a special alarm to go off whenever your dog indulges in some inappropriate bum-sniffing. For example.

Zoombak is due on sale in the UK in February for £99, although you then pay £9.99 a month for unlimited location requests.
