Personally, I'm still trying to find a decent image editor for my Asus Eee PC (any thoughts?), but some people are more focused on pimping out the mini-laptop with extra memory. However, this meant ripping off the 'Warranty Void if Removed' label covering the access door. Until now.
Yep, Asus has confirmed that it's fine to mess with the innards of your Eee PC, saying that "merely breaking or removing this kind of seal will not void the Asus Limited Warranty". And that applies even if you do it yourself or get dodgy Dave from round the corner to do it - you don't have to go to an Asus-approved servicer.
Expect the screwdrivers to come out in force this weekend, as thousands of relieved Eee owners supercharge their notebooks.
