i-Buddy – real-life icon for MSN

Screen icons not good enough for you? The i-Buddy moves them from the desktop onto your desk.

Yes, this three-inch USB gadget is more clutter, but at least it’s good novelty clutter. Plug it in and when a contact signs in, a big glowing head and flapping wings will attract your attention – as well as catching your eye when a message is posted. And if you have a ‘special friend’ online, you can program it to make a specific gesture. Even emoticons are replicated by i-Buddy – for example, if someone types a ‘heart’ icon, i-Buddy’s head glows and it flaps its wings.

Not exactly a must-have – unless you happen to be addicted to MSN. If you are, it retails for £14.95.
