toshiba-satellite-pro-p200.jpgMore ammunition for Blu-ray zealots, with HD-DVD backers Toshiba promising to give five HD-DVDs with every HD-enabled notebook purchased.

The choice of titles includes cult classics such as Children of Men, Full Metal Jacket (a personal favourite), Corpse Bride, Serenity and The Prestige, with the laptops in the free give-away being the Qosmio G40, Satellite X200, Satellie P200, Satellie Pro P200, Satellite A200 and Satellite Pro P200. Phew!

The offer closes on the 31st of January, 2008, giving Blu-ray fanboys exactly 70 days for plenty of HD-DVD bashings. Suggested retorts include “at least Toshiba is generous, when was the last time Sony gave something away? Oh wait – they gave $14 for each Eco-Edition laptop sold to charity. Wow, pushing the boat out there, how can they afford that one?”
